At the core of our vision is a compelling mission: to uplift and empower the inner city community through proactive initiatives. As a dynamic 501(c)(3) organization established in 2023, we collaborate with impactful entities such as The Bethlehem Center, PPCH, and Veterati to bridge gaps and foster positive change in underserved communities. Our multifaceted approach includes the Dr. Marvin Lott Scholarship Program, nurturing academic excellence and personal growth among youth; the Omega Lamp Lighters Mentoring Program, cultivating positive male role models for the next generation; Workforce Development in collaboration with Veterati, providing essential skills for veterans' successful integration into civilian life; and community awareness initiatives like Purple & Gold Table Talk and VREM (Voters Registration Education & Mobilization) Efforts. Together, these efforts have forged a legacy of community service and transformative change. Omega Lamplighters Mentoring Program
The Bridge Builder Collective proudly collaborates with the Kappa Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. to introduce the Omega Lamp Lighters Mentoring Program. This initiative is committed to cultivating a supportive bond between mentors and mentees, fostering academic success, personal growth, and community involvement. Voter's Registration, Education, & Mobilization
Empowering communities through active civic engagement is at the core of our mission. Through voter's registration education and mobilization efforts, we strive to amplify voices and ensure democratic participation for all.
Community Awareness
The Bridge Builder Collective, in collaboration with the Kappa Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., presents the Purple and Gold Table Talk podcast. We release quarterly episodes on various topics, including Work-Life Balance, The Importance of Voting, and Fatherhood. Click here to view our episodes. These initiatives aim to spark open dialogues within communities, raising awareness on critical issues and fostering a culture of understanding and empathy.
Dr. Marvin Lott Scholarship Program
The four-year scholarship aims to empower your future. Explore this page for detailed information, including the application, guidelines and program details. Eligibility is open to high school seniors in the Chattanooga area with a minimum GPA of 2.5, accepted into an accredited technical school, college, or university. In the 2024 Award year, we anticipate acknowledging at least two winners, totaling $5,000 of scholarship contributions.

Baseball With Da Bruhz
Commencing in 2023, "Baseball With Da Bruhz" kicks off as an occasion dedicated to acknowledging our sponsors, mentees, and scholarship recipients. Attendees including mentees, sponsors, and parents can participate at zero cost. This year, we're excited to announce a unique partnership with the Lookouts, promising an elevated experience. In honor of the Negro League event in June, we're delighted to provide attendees with an exclusive suite experience, raising the excitement to unprecedented levels.
Workforce Development
Committed to supporting veterans and their families, we empower them for civilian careers through workforce development opportunities on the Veterati platform. Addressing financial challenges for college students, our partnership ensures four deserving undergraduate members can participate in an International Undergraduate Summit, eliminating any financial burden. This summit serves as a catalyst for acquiring crucial leadership skills vital for future career pursuits. Participants also gain access to a job fair, facilitating internship interviews and exploring potential employment opportunities.
Bridge Builder Cookout
The Bridge Builder Cookout is a gathering where we journey to different locations in underserved communities to connect with the children and residents. We offer complimentary food, entertainment, and actively participate in games with the kids. This year, our event is scheduled for July at a yet-to-be-determined location. Stay tuned for more details!
Scenic City Football Champion Trophy & Luncheon
The Bridge Builder Collective funded the Scenic City Football Championship trophy, which was awarded to the victorious team among three high schools in underserved communities. The initiative also included a celebratory luncheon. The contenders vying for this honor included Brainerd High School, The Howard School, and Tyner High School, with Tyner High School emerging as the 2023 winner. SmartDad Finances
Our SmartDad Finances course is a collaborative effort with Regions Bank that aims to empower fathers with essential financial knowledge. In this comprehensive program, we provide valuable insights on fundamental financial principles, including saving and investing, budgeting, and more. Our goal is to equip dads with the tools and skills needed to make informed and strategic financial decisions for themselves and their families. Through engaging sessions and practical guidance, SmartDad Finances fosters financial literacy, promoting long-term stability and prosperity. Join us in this empowering journey towards financial well-being and security.
